Welcome to November! This month, we’re diving into a theme that combines adventure with intention: Travel and Self-Care. As the year begins to wind down, it’s the perfect time to explore how travel can be a powerful form of self-care; a chance to reset, reconnect, and rediscover yourself in new ways.

Travel isn’t just about seeing new places; it’s about stepping out of your routine, expanding your perspective, and finding joy in exploration. Whether it’s a weekend getaway, a trip abroad, or simply exploring a nearby town, travel invites you to reconnect with your curiosity and sense of wonder. And here’s the best part: self-care doesn’t have to be extravagant. It just needs to feel good for your soul.

Let’s talk about it: A few years ago, I took a solo trip during an extremely stressful time in my life. It wasn’t far, but it was exactly what I needed. I spent the weekend hiking, journaling, and road tripping with nothing but the earth, and my thoughts. That trip reminded me of the power of solitude and how taking time for myself, even in a new setting, could be deeply healing.

What kind of travel would feel restorative for you right now? A solo retreat? A fun trip with friends? Or maybe even a day trip to your favorite nature spot?

Let’s BE about it:

1. Plan with Intention

Ask yourself: What do I need most right now? Rest? Inspiration? Connection? Let your answer guide your travel plans. Whether it’s a spa weekend or an adventure-packed trip, make sure it aligns with your needs.

2. Disconnect to Reconnect

Use your travel time to unplug from the daily grind. Limit screen time, avoid over-scheduling, and focus on being present in the moment.

3. Bring Self-Care Practices With You

Travel doesn’t mean abandoning your routines. Pack your favorite journal, download a meditation app, or bring along a small ritual that grounds you. This keeps self-care central, no matter where you are.

November’s Challenge: Plan one travel-inspired act of self-care. It doesn’t have to be a big trip; it could be as simple as exploring a new park, trying a new restaurant, or spending a night away from home. Whatever it is, approach it with curiosity and intention.
