Breaking FREE

Dear Soul Sister,

Welcome to February, and what better way to kick off the month than with a fresh start? So let’s dive into a topic that’s close to my heart and so important for personal growth: breaking free from codependency and stepping into the empowering journey of independence.

Let’s talk about codependency! Whew, it’s a big one! It’s a term we hear a lot, but it’s not always fully understood. Codependency often means putting yourself dead last on your own priority list, while being overly focused on meeting the needs of others. It usually comes from a place of love and good intentions, but let’s be real: it can lead to some REALLY unhealthy dynamics in our relationships with partners, family, and even friends.

At its root, codependency is often driven by a deep need to feel needed. Sound familiar? This can create patterns where you’re constantly giving, enabling, or relying emotionally on someone else. The problem? These patterns can hold you back from truly knowing and loving yourself, making it tough to set boundaries and develop a strong sense of who you are.

But here’s the good news: breaking free from codependent tendencies is a powerful, life changing journey. It’s about rediscovering YOU; your worth, your individuality, your passions, and your goals. It’s about learning to set healthy boundaries and prioritizing your needs without guilt.

The journey to independence is full of gifts. It builds your self-esteem, boosts your confidence, and helps you grow into the most authentic version of yourself. When you step into your power, your relationships naturally shift into healthier, more balanced dynamics. That’s when the magic happens; when both people can grow individually while still supporting each other.

And it doesn’t stop there. Letting go of codependent patterns doesn’t just transform your relationships; it impacts everything. Your decisions, your career, your friendships, and even the way you see yourself. Independence gives you the courage to make choices that align with your true desires and values.

So how do you start this journey? It’s not always easy, but it’s so worth it. Therapy, self-help books, journaling, mindfulness, coaching with ME, and supportive communities can all help you peel back the layers and uncover the real you. As someone who’s walked this path myself, I know the challenges, but I also know the freedom that comes with breaking those old patterns.

As a coach, I bring both experience and empathy to the table. My goal is to guide you through this process with tools, strategies, and encouragement that are just for you. Together, we can rediscover your independent self and help you build the kind of relationships, and life, you truly deserve.

This February, I encourage you to take a moment to reflect. Have you noticed patterns of codependency in your life? If so, remember: acknowledging it is a huge first step. And seeking help? That’s not a weakness; it’s a bold, beautiful act of self-love.

If you’re ready to take that step, reach out. I’m here, and we’ll walk this journey together.

Stay tuned for next week’s entry, where we’ll dive deeper into this BREAK FREE transformational journey. And remember, sis, you are never alone in this. You’ve got this, and I’ve got you.

Love Always,

Coach Lori
